Privacy Policy

How The Elegance Clinic collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

The Elegance Clinic ("we", "us") — trading name of The Elegance Clinic Herts — is an aesthetics clinic based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, run by Lorraine. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide to us. You can contact us on 07584 351480 or at lorraine@theeleganceclinic.com.

What information we collect

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to enquiries, arrange and provide your treatments safely, keep the clinical records we are required to keep, and contact you about your appointments and aftercare. Our lawful bases are your consent, the performance of our agreement to provide treatment, and our legal obligations (for example, keeping medical records). Health information is special category data, processed for the provision of healthcare.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary — for example with our booking and records provider (AesthetiDocs), a prescribing partner where a prescription treatment is involved, or where we are required to by law. Where a treatment requires a prescription, relevant details are shared with the qualified independent prescriber involved in your care.

How long we keep it

We keep clinical records for the period required by professional and legal guidance, and other contact details only for as long as needed for the purposes above.

Cookies & this website

We also use Google's advertising and analytics tags (gtag.js) to understand how visitors find and use the site and to measure the performance of our advertising; this may set cookies and share data with Google. Our online booking is provided by AesthetiDocs, which has its own privacy policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Photographs & before/after images

With your explicit, separate consent, we may take clinical "before and after" photographs to record your treatment and, where you agree, to show as examples on our website and social media. Consent for use in marketing is always optional, is never a condition of treatment, and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us — after which we will stop using your images going forward. Any before/after images shown on this website are used with the client's permission, and individual results may vary.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability, subject to our legal obligation to retain clinical records. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
